Jr. Detective Squad Letters:
To Carolyn Keene:
Hi Caroline,
My Name is Caitlin & I absolutely LOVE reading Nancy Drew Mysteries, Nancy Drew Notebooks, Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys,
& The Nancy Drew Files. I'm really Interested in your books are there any just released out yet?
From your #1 Fan P.S. Are there any other books apart from Nancy Drew that you've written?
P.P.S. Could you give some advice on the PC game Secrets Can Kill
From Webmaster:
While I can't give advice on the game, as I haven't played it--I will direct you instead to the game maker's neat
website.
They have message boards where you can ask for answers, find answers, get tips--als othey sell strategy guides to their games that help you play them.
The Files are not longer in print and the Notebooks have ended with #69 last December--but the Notebooks are being relaunched in a new format called
Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew--starting over at 1, same type of thing, but now they have a club and membership card comes in book #1. Out this coming June.
To Simon & Schuster:
I would like to start out by saying thank you for publishing these books. I have not been reading them for too long -three years?- but now I adore them much more then I ever thought I could. I also enjoy the games as well. Very wonderful and brain-boggling.
Now, my reason for writing. I apologize for repeating this question, for I am sure you get it often. However, I would feel more gratified with my own personal answer. There have been many series of Nancy Drew. Currently, the series being published called Nancy Drew, Girl Detective. This may sound ridiculous to ask, but would it be possible to also start up an ended series? I understand that you are VERY busy, but I really feel strongly about this.
Many people I know are fans of Nancy Drew. And many of them have been saying, and I very much agree, that they would like more Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Supermysteries. Not only were they wonderfully written, but they had double the mystery, and were also more... advanced. I believe, correct me if I am wrong, that there are more Nancy Drew fans over 13 then there are under. Therefore, would most likely prefer the mysteries that would give then something to think about. And besides that, Joe and Frank Hardy always added to the story. The Frank and Nancy aspect was very well done. Unlike Nancy's usual crushes, like in the Files or the On Campus series, she didn't kiss Frank or talk too much about him. Nor was Ned Nickerson overly jealous. It was just enough to make fans like Frank, without resenting the fact he had a crush on Nancy. It was perfect, and now so many people talk about Frank being Nancy's soul mate. I thank you dearly. It's not an easy thing to capture.
I have always felt deeply for the series, and have started collecting them. All I ask is, if you could please, please take under consideration about starting up the series again. It would mean so much to me, truly it would. And I can definitely guarantee many people will start buying them.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
Forever a fan of Nancy Drew,
To Webmaster:
Hi My name is Alexis. My friends and I started a Mystery Group and we found keys, trapped doors, and weird shadows. Also we found a trapped door under a rug.
What do you think we should do? I just got in to your books, I just started reading Nancy Drew's Mystery Stories.
My friend loves all your games and books. She's read books 1and 2 of NancyDrew's files and played 4 of your 3D games. She wants do be a detective just like
Nancy. Are you going to write any more books I hope so, please would you do it for your fans
From Webmaster:
Hmm, well it would be fun to investigate the trap door of course:) But not if it can't be done safely or without supervision of an adult if dangerous. Glad you are having fun! Carolyn Keene is always writing, so you'll keep seeing more books at your local bookstores and libraries.
To Simon & Schuster:
My 9-year-old daughter and I are writing to you to see if we can get more info about Ethan Mahoney, Esther Rackham and the Rackham Gang. They are mentioned in the
"Nancy Drew Girl Dective" # 6 Action. We have tried several search engines and can't seem to get any info.
We would also like to say how much we love your books and the computer games by "Her Interactive". You are doing a masterful job of building young readers ...way to
go and keep it up, Carolyn!!!
Webmaster:
The Rackhams are fictional, so there is not any information outside of the books available. They are a colorful legend in the books though!
To Simon & Schuster:
Hello: doing some trivia look up. I understand when the book was "born" but does Nancy Drew have an actual birthday listed in any book (month, day, year) and
place born?
From Webmaster:
No specific birthday is mentioned in the books. But, early on it seemed that her birthday was probably very late spring/early summer.
To Nancy Drew:
I absolutley love your books. I am 11 years old. My name is Carolina and you are my favorite girl detective!
Sincerely, your #1 fan
To Nancy Drew:
Dearest NaNCy Drew,
Hi! I'M SO HAPPY THET YOU FINALLY HAVE YOUR VERY OWN WEBSITE. I REALLY LIKE IT. I'VE BEEN COLLEVTING

WAY YOU SOLVE MYSTERIES. I HOPE SOMEDAY YOU WOULD BECOME A proffesional DETECTIVE!
sO GOOD LUCK AS WHAT mRS. STROOK SAID (sTAGECOACH MYSTERY). i HOPE TOU WILL E-MAIL ME SOON. I HOPE
FICTION WILL BECOME REALITY. I WISH YOU WERE REAL. lOVe YOU, MWAH!
To Webmaster:
I have played several of the Her Interactive games, and I am very curious about the books they are based on. Do you know where in Connecticut can I buy them for a
reasonable price? Also, is Treasure in the Royal Tower based on any book?
From Webmaster:
Yes it is based on the book 128. The Treasure in the Royal Tower, a Nancy Drew digest paperback.
You can buy them online at
HerInteractive.com and also at Best Buy, most stores that carry computer games--probably Toys R Us and other
similar toy stores, Wal-Mart, sometimes at Target.
To Webmaster:
Hey im a huge fan of Nancy Drew! Its so awesome. I have a book report and I picked The Sign of the Twisted Candles.
I need a costume and a poster. What costume should I wear and where can I find a poster?
From Webmaster:
You could make your own poster using book covers, I don't know of any posters for sale. As to costume, I'd check out the book and look at the pictures on it to
get some ideas. One thing to make sure you have are your sleuth accessories--a magnifying glass and a flashlight for sure. Check out:
Sleuth Activities and
Sleuth Crafts for costume ideas, mask, and sleuth accessory suggestions!
To Simon & Schuster:
Hi, i'd just like to say, that when you said that you wanted to make Nancy Drew in a real today's girl, you didn't do a very good job.
Nobody Nancy's age drives a fancy car, and not very many teenage girls are allowed to have cellphones. I just thought you'd like to know that your new
Nancy in not a
"today" girl at all.
To Simon & Schuster:
Hi, to you too I was just wondering if you ever get tired of writing the Nancy drew books or have a great time and get into it like you are the the character in the story.
From Simon & Schuster:
Of course Carolyn has a great time.
To Simon & Schuster:
I am a big fan of Nancy Drew, particularly the new 'Girl Detective'
series. I also like the originals when Nancy was 16 instead of 18. Recently
I read one of the Dana Girls books, also by Carolyn Keene. Will Carolyn be
writing any more of those? I think that would be really cool.
Thanks.
From the webmaster:
Good question, they have considered reissuing other series that are now out of print.
To Simon & Schuster:
To, Caroline,
Ever since I was eight (now I am ten) I have had my head glued to your Nancy Drew books. My favourite book is 'The perfect plot' because I loved the fact that Mystery Mansion was full to the brim of hidden secrets. Your Nancy Drew books have inspired me with mystery so much that I now want to become a detective when I am older.
To Simon & Schuster:
Hello. I Really Really love Nancy Drew books they are the best. One day my grandmother got the books and they came with PC games. So my sister and I played
them, my sister loves them and she's only 6! They are so great that I already finished 5. I finished one of them in 2 days! One day my grandmother was getting my
sister something of the internet and I saw Nancy Drew games for Game Boy advance! My mom and dad let me get it and it was great. I've read almost every book
and I loved everyone. I've been reading them since I was in 4th grade and now I'm in 7th so I have read a lot. I was wondering is Nancy still 18?
Also how come in
the old movies Bess isn't in there(like from 1980 somthing)? Also in the black and white ones Bess and George isn't in there is that b/c they weren't really copying
the books?.
From the webmaster:
Nancy is around 18--out of high school, but not quite yet in college. In the old movies from the 1930s--the black and white ones--Bess and George were not
characters, reasons unknown--but at that time, they liked to have a girl heroine and a guy who worked together so that may be why. In the 1970s, in the TV show,
Bess was not a character there but George was--and George had some of Bess' personality in it.
To Webmaster:
My name is Hilary. I am 16 years old and used to be a HUGE fan of Nancy when I was young. My mom and I were remembering the fun Nancy Drew times the
other day when we stumbled upon a question that puzzled both of us for hours. What were the boyfriend's names of Bess Marvin and George Fayne? We are
convinced that they have boyfriends...one of them acctually dates a Hardy boy if I remember correctly. But I MUST know their names...I have been to every
website, searched every search engine for the "boyfriends of Bess Marvin and George Fayne." Please e-mail me back! I am dieing to know!
From the webmaster:
Bess=Dave Evans, George=Burt Eddelton.
To Simon & Schuster:
HOW OLD IS NANCY? NOTHING PERSONAL I HOPE.
I NEVER NEW NANCY WAS REAL I HAVE ALL THE BOOKS 25 BOOKS IN ALL!!
I REALLY LIKE THE ONE CALLED:THE E-MAIL MYSTERY.ALL THE BOOKS REMIND ME OF A SHOW CALLED VERONICA MARS.
ARE YOU GOING TO WRITE ANYMORE MORE BOOKS?
ARE YOU GOING WRITE A NEW BOOK ON ANOTHER PERSON OR STICK WITH NANCY DREW.
From the webmaster:
Yes, they will be writing more books--but most likely will stick with Nancy Drew.
To Simon & Schuster:
Hello! I just love these baffling mysteries about Nancy Drew! They rock! Go Nancy Drew! Thanks for making and selling these books so I have something baffling and mysterious to read!
Signed,
Nancy Drew #1 Fan
To Simon & Schuster:
Hi I really like Nancy Drew books except for one thing and my friend totally agrees with me on this: Ned is stupid! All he ever seems to do is throw frat parties, play
basketball, and fight with Nancy about solving crimes and rid the world of criminals. Frank Hardy on the other hand, totally likes it when Nancy solves cases. So what if
Nancy and Ned have together forever? Frank is way more in tune to her needs. Why can't she go out with Frank?
From the webmaster:
You might check out the new Girl Detecive series--Ned is not so much a partier in this series:) So far, there are no plans to team up Nancy Drew and the
Hardy Boys together in future books.
To Simon & Schuster:
I have a question. Isn't Nacy suppose to be liked? Isn't the Chief soppose to help Nancy. What happened?!?
Also, I liked Bess before. Kids could really relate to her. You know the scared one. Now it's boring! I liked it when shed begged to NOT go into the scary house. I could
really relate to that. Oh, whats the deal with George. When did she become the computer-wiz? The new books make everybody equal, and when I say it, it sounds great
but it's just more fun to read when Nancy's the "human wonder".
One more thing, I read a book called The Nancy Drew Scrapbook. In the book, it talked about a board game for Nancy Drew. Could you tell me were I can find it? I already
checked e-bay.
From the webmaster:
Nancy is liked and the Chief does help Nancy some in the new Girl Detective series. If you prefer the older style, you can still read the classic 56 still in print. The best
place to find the boardgame is at eBay--they have quite a few listed there.
To Simon & Schuster:
I have been reading your books for about 1 year and I love the older stories and I was wondering why did the writers
change the plot so much personally I like the older version.
To Simon & Schuster:
To Simon and Shuster: I have been a fan of Nancy Drew for a long time. I do enjoy the new series but I would like to see
the Super Mysteries again, as would I think a lot of people.
I think you should create a new series that is geared towards tenagers but still remains like the original series.
NOT like the On Campus series. I think it would be cool if the series was kinda like the new Girl Detective series just geared towards the more older fans. Do you think
you will ever do this?
From the webmaster:
Anything is possible...stay tuned!
To Simon & Schuster:
I am 12 years old. I have loved nancy drew's books ever since i was a
little baby.My mom gave me her old nancy drew books and i cherisish
tthem so much.I do not know what i would do without her books.
Nancy fan
To Simon & Schuster:
I am a huge fan! I even have a Nancy Drew collection! I've beaten four of the mystery games! I really like Nancy Drew!
~Nancy Drew Fanatic
To Simon & Schuster:
I have been reading Nancy Drew books for about 12 years now, and I haven't gotten tired of them yet. I just wanted to say keep up the good work, the books
are always exciting,I haven't read any of the original series books that weren't good, but I never got into Nancy Drew on campus, She just didn't seem like the
same Nan that I had grew to admire and look up to, If Nan were a real person (and she is in the hearts of all readers, I'm sure) i would tell here how much I looked
up to her and that she has inspired me to be the best I can and never give up on anything, and be nice even when it's hard. Also i would like to add a big thank you
to Ms. Carolyn Keene for creating such wonderful characters and books.
To Simon & Schuster:
You may not know me but I'm your greatest fan from Southeast Asia, Singapore. It seem as my country is very small but it is very wonderful like a paradise.
Come visit Singapore if you can. I'm a female and
age 13 years old. And heard that you broke off with your old boyfriend, Ned Nickerson and find a new one name Jake. Hope you don't
regret as Ned is really a good, kind, honest, handsome, romantic, helpful, hardworking, polite guy. Send my regrats to your two very best buddies, George Fayne
and Bess Marvin. (And their boyfriends too.)
To Simon & Schuster:
Your books are SO COOL! I LOVE them! I have been reading Nancy Drew ever since I was 7 and now I'm 12. I have book shelves of the Nancy Drew Files and the original Nancy Drew books(I have all of the 56 one) and I have two of the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys supermysterys and I have the newer ones you know the Girl Detective ones! I'm like the number #1 fan of Nancy Drew! She is such an inspiration and really smart and gutsy! I also have the games of Nancy Drew and they are SO AWSOME! Please keep making N.D. books and games! Sincerely, Nancy Drew's #1 fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. Do you know the Romanovs? The last family that ruled Russia you know like Anastasia? I would really think it would be neat if Carolyn made a book of Nancy going to Russia and finding out if Anna Anderson really was Anastasia or if any Romanovs survived. That would be cool almost like Nancy Drew!!!!!!!!!!!
To Simon & Schuster:
I am a big fan of your Nancy Drew series, but I just had some questions. What inspired you to be a writer? Is there a paticular resons why you write mystery
books?Have you only written Nancy Drew series? Thanks for reading my email and I hope you write back.
From "Carolyn Keene":
Hey there,
1) My inspiration comes from all over, but mainly, from my readers.
2) There's something about a good mystery-- it really makes you think and can make you feel very clever. Really, though, I'm interested in following Nancy more
than anything-- and it turns out mystery seems to follow her!
3) No, I've written other related series as well.
Cheers
To Simon & Schuster:
Hi do you know something about Carolyn's childhood?
From Simon & Schuster:
That is a mystery...worthy of Nancy Drew herself!!
To Simon & Schuster:
Ohhh,I just love Nancy Drew. I'v read Nancy Drew series , Nancy Drew on Campus, Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys
Supermystery, and Nancy Drew Files. Will you ever make a Nancy Drew on Campus where they meet the Hardy Boys?
Oh will Ned and Nnancy ever get back together or will Frank and Nancy get together?
From the webmaster:
Have you tried the new series, Nancy Drew: Girl Detective? It's a fun series and Ned and Nancy are together just like in the classic series, Nancy Drew Mystery Stories. The On Campus series is no longer in print. It is unlikely that Nancy and Frank will get together at anytime since Nancy is dating Ned.
To Her Interactive:
I think your games are really cool. I've beaten 4 of them and did all the levels, some of them even had master detective which
was really hard! I've been trying to find the haunted Carousal so I can buy but I can't find it! Do you know where Ii could buy
it? I would love for you to email me back so I'd know where to buy it!
Thanks so Much!
From the webmaster:
Glad you are enjoying Her Interactive's Nancy Drew games! You can order games at their website:
Her Interactive.
To Simon & Schuster:
I'm a 35 year old, who has been reading all the series over the past
25 years. I really do, like so many fans have an intimate knowledge of all the series, books and fine details of previously written
facts about the characters.
Generally it's quite good, but I'm very disappointed in some parts of her personality. If she is smarter, then how come she can't pick
a lock anymore!!!! I feel like in an effort to make her more real, Bess is suddenly WAY smarter, and Nancy isn't really the brains
behind the operation anymore. She forgets to put gas in the car, she's blunt.
I'm concerned that Ned has actually gone back to
being weak again. I think in the early Files, he was at least his own person standing up for himself. I don't think she needs to be an
expert in everything, but there are so many examples in previous series of Ned and George being good bike riders, that it seems
weird that NANCY should suddenly be better then both of them at cycling, but somehow unable to unpick the locks.
I think there are some interesting improvements, but the books still aren't where they could be. Does Ned have siblings by the way?
That still has never been addressed.
Thanks for reading. Trying to be constructive... will keep reading and encourage kids to do so !
From Simon & Schuster:
In our mind, Nancy hasn't become less intelligent than either of the girls. George is a bit sassier, and Bess now brings something to
the picture other than her ability to entice guys! But Nancy's still Nancy. She misses some things occasionally, but they're nit
things, teeny things-- and it's all because she's so focused on crime, she just forgets.
To Simon & Schuster:
I have collected Nancy Drew Books for years. Can you tell me how to spot
original books from reprints and what would be the value of one of the
originals.
From the webmaster:
This question can have many answers! The Nancy Drew series, which debuted in 1930, has
undergone many changes over the years. The varying formats are fairly easy to spot once you
find all the clues you need. There is a great section on the various formats with images
at the Nancy Drew Sleuth Unofficial website:
Anatomy of a Series Book. There is also a Nancy Drew
printing guide, Farah's Guide. Only the first 34 books in the classic series from
The Secret of the Old Clock, to The Hidden Window Mystery, were revised.
Original texts have 25 chapters. Revisions have only 20. Any Applewood book reprints of the originals state that they are
Applewood editions so you would not be confused by those. The value of the originals depends
on the printing you have and the condition. I have seen a 1930 first printing of Old Clock in
a dust jacket go for up to $10,000.00 at auction.
To Simon & Schuster:
I love the Nancy Drew series. I am 17 years old and have been reading these books since about the 2nd grade. I have 1-29
and 31-50 in the yellow hard back which was published by Grosset & Dunlap, but they also have your name on it in the copy
right section. My question to you is how can I get number 30 and the rest of the books? I can't find them anywhere. The
yellow books say there is only 56 books in the series. I heard a few years back that there are over a hundred Nancy Drew's.
So where can I find the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories in the yellow hard backs so I can have the whole collection of these
wonderful books?
From the webmaster:
The books 1-56 are still in print and available at your local retail bookstores or online at
Barnes & Noble or Amazon and similar
sites like these. The books from 1-34 are revised texts. However,
Applewood Books (also available at places mentioned
above or at their website) is reprinting original texts and will be up to #19 in May 2004.
Also, in case you are interested, paperbacks from 57-175 are iffy--many are out of print. You can try the sources I mention
above for some.
One great way to also find missing volumes are your local used book stores, antique malls, flea markets, thrift stores. Also,
online at used book seller sites and eBay! I have a
list of used book seller sites and search engines at the Nancy Drew Sleuth Unofficial website. You can also try a great
online auction site with lots of Nancy Drew books, eBay.
To Simon & Schuster:
I started to read Nancy Drew books when I was 8. Its been 2 years now, I'm now 10 years old. I've
read about 25 Nancy Drew books. I really don’t like your idea about changing Nancy Drew into a
computer savvy! No offense to you or anything but the idea is just really boring. I and a lot of other
kids and people
wouldn’t want Nancy to change . I really don’t see why you have to change it. I mean your taking
advice from a 24 year old and Hillary Duff, that does not really make any sense at all. Well I would
rather read my Nancy
Drew books that I have now because that’s the way that I like them, I would rather read Nancy Drew
than Babysitters Club and Power Puff Girls. The only thing that I do agree on is that you're going to be
making a clothes line and games of Nancy Drew but that’s the only thing I agree on. George was
always outgoing, like Nancy, but now she's just going to become a boring person. Now Bess, she
was always worrying about her stomache, and now she's good with tools and plus she always used to
be scared of everything are you going to change that too.Why do you have to change Nancy into
modern life. Its just a bad idea.
From an editor at Simon & Schuster:
Essentially, because we thought she should be appealing to today's girls, but sales figures didn't reflect that we were reaching
them. So we gave Nancy a bit new life, a big marketing push, and BAM, we got today's girls!
To Simon & Schuster:
Hi! Thank you so much. I have loved Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys for a few years now. I have read at least 100 diferent
books. Some of my favorite books are the Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Supermysteries. The first one that was written, was
written the year I was born ( '88' ). Will you writting anymore? Please say you will be. One other question: don't you ever run
out of ideas for different books?
From an editor at Simon & Schuster:
Regarding the Supermysteries, yes! It's in the cards, at least. Carolyn reads the newspapers, focusing mostly on stories of criminal activity. That always
helps inspire her so there are always lots of ideas for exciting new mysteries!
To Simon & Schuster:
I have been a Nancy Drew lover since before I can remember. I read the Notebooks when I was
young, moved to the yellow spines, then on to
the casefiles. I could hardly wait for your new ones to come out! At first I was a bit wary,
but when I picked one up... I couldn't put it down!
They are such a great success, I have all my friends reading them! Thank You so much!
One question, though: Why did you choose to redo Nancy?
From an editor at Simon & Schuster:
Essentially, because we thought she should be appealing to today's girls, but sales figures didn't reflect that we were reaching
them. So we gave Nancy a bit new life, a big marketing push, and BAM, we got today's girls!
To Simon & Schuster:
I am a big fan of Nancy Drew because the mysteries are so intriguing. Your Nancy Drew books
make me never want to stop
reading. I love how you make it seem like the criminal is one person then at the end you
surprise me with someone that I never
suspected. When I first start to read a Nancy Drew book I get hooked and can't stop reading it.
Where do you get your great ideas for the mysteries? How long does it take you to write a
Nancy Drew mystery?
From an editor at Simon & Schuster:
Carolyn gets her ideas from everywhere-- the newspapers, what she sees on the streets, stories
she hears from friends.
She's always got an ear to the ground-- just like Nancy!
Once Carolyn starts, she usually can't stop. But it can take anywhere from five months to two
for her to crank out a mystery.
To Simon & Schuster:
If i were you, I would of put the Hardy Boys in this TV show. But pick CUTE guys to be The
Hardy Boys. I NEVER got to see This
TV show.(Nancy Drew) But PLEASE take my advise. NANCY DREW & HARDY BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
--Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Biggest Fan
To Simon & Schuster:
Hi...I am a big fan of Nancy Drew series. A sec ago I was reading a Nancy Drew book called
Danger
On Parade, case 77 it is a great book. I hope you keep writing Nancy Drew series. I also
wanted to
ask you where you find your ideas from?
Hi,
I've been a fan of Nancy Drew since I was about 8 years old (I'm thirteen now). I've always
wondered,
Where do writers of Nancy Drew get their idea's? What do you do when you get writers-block?
Thanks!
--Detective Gal
From an editor at Simon & Schuster:
Carolyn reads the newspapers, focusing mostly on stories of criminal activity. That always
helps inspire her!
To Simon & Schuster:
I love nancy drew stories!
I read them all day. I told my friends that they were cool books
and now there reading them too! I sometimes write stories but it's
hard for me to think of mystery stories. Are you kind of like
NANCY DREW?
From the webmaster:
I think in some ways were all a little bit like Nancy Drew! She inspires us to do more in our
lives and also
to help others in need. What more could you ask for in a spunky girl detective!
To Simon & Schuster:
Nancy Drew is great to read about because at the end of each chapter, something surprising
happens!
To Nancy Drew Girl Detective Website:
Thank you very much for reading this letter. Also, thank you for your site! I am a HUGE Nancy
Drew fan!
I just inherited a ton of Nancy Drew books from my grandmother. I just LOVE them! And I
appreciate you all for
making this site a possibility! Thank you.
To Simon & Schuster:
Simon and Schuster,
I am a fan of Nancy Drew, and I always love to hear about what mystery Nancy will have next
for
the CD-ROM games. So far I have played 4, and it was so addicting, that I buy 1 after the
other.
Also, when I read her books, I start to read it and I won't put the book down until it is
finished.
I am always surprised at the end, about the suspect, when I never would have guessed.
I just
want to say that the games and books are awesome, and keep us posted about the new games
coming up!
p. s. are all the games from the book series? Are you thinking about having some games
online?
From the webmaster:
The games are based on the books. At this time, no plans have been made to have any games
online,
but you can go to Her Interactive where there
are message boards
with lots of news and tips on the games!
To Simon & Schuster:
You are the best author EVER!
I want to grow up and be just like Nancy. A lot of girls may say this but, I truly truly am
your #1 #1 #1 #1 fan!
To Simon & Schuster:
Dear Carolyn,
I love your books!Compliment to Nancy: You are so fasenating in all of your books!
You encourage me
to have more confidence, courage, and be happy more than sad!!!
I really like your writing!!
