On March 23rd, 2001, The Sleuths met with Mildred Benson at the Toledo Blade where she wrote a weekly column. She was gracious and fun! We were thrilled to be able to have our treasures signed and to ask her questions about Nancy Drew and her writing career.

Mildred was our first Honorary Sleuth Award recipient and the award was presented to her around her 96th birthday as shown in the photo above, in July 2001. Shown in the thumbnails below is the card that the Nancy Drew Sleuths created. (Sorry for the fuzziness--the pictures did not turn out as planned.) You can see the card in the photo above a little more clearly.
