I consider my collections to be important parts of my life, as do many of us. So, when I started to get interested in scrapbooking, it was only natural that I had to create pages to record my favorite collections.

My book collection is very special, and I think that my Nancy Drew collection deserves a special place in the scrapbook.

There are so many options for a book collection page!

Here’s how I did mine.

I used dark blue paper for the background, similar in color to the old blue and orange Nancy Drew covers. I picked out several photo’s that showed my collection, and myself. I then matted them with orange paper, (reminiscent of the B&O covers, of course!)

Then I scanned and printed pictures of the Nancy silhouette from the blue and orange books, and one from the tweed books, and sized them to fit on the page as embellishments for the photos. I also scanned and printed small sized pictures of the covers of several of my favorite books, and cut them out.

I arranged the matted photos on the page, leaving room for a title at the top of the page, with the silhouettes on either side of the title. I placed pictures of the books around the photos, and glued everything in place. I left room for a ‘journaling’ card, with a description of my collection and how much it means to me. This is a very important part of your scrapbook! Be sure to record details that are important to you and anyone who may be viewing the page.

I made another page by scanning a blue cover from one of my Applewood books, and cropped the scan to just the silhouette, and enlarged it to the full page size. I then printed this out, and used it as a background for a few more pictures.

The options are endless!

This can be done for any series books that you collect, or in fact, any thing that you collect, just substitute pictures and things that relate to you and your collection.

The important thing is to make this a record of your personal collection and thoughts.
